************************************************************** July 1st to 12th, 2009 This summer’s extravaganza will feature Jeff Beck, the Gary Burton Quartet Revisited with Pat Metheny, Steve Swallow and Antonio Sanchez, Pink Martini with full orchestra, Jackson Browne, Buddy Guy, Jamie Cullum, Chris Botti with orchestra, Chucho Valdés, Melody Gardot, Wayne Shorter, Ornette Coleman, Dave Holland, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Chris Potter, Eric Harland, Beirut, Kenny Garrett and the returning Battle of the Bands starring the Glenn Miller Orchestra and the Harry James Orchestra. With a projected total of 650 concerts, this is but a foretaste of what we have in store.
In addition, the Montreal Guitar Show is back this summer, from July 3 to 5! Guitar lovers, will have the chance to admire, test-drive and even purchase beautiful guitars hand-made by one hundred exceptional guitar luthiers hailing from Canada, the United States and France. Tickets On Sale Now *************************************************** 2009 BERKLEE BEANTOWN JAZZ FESTIVAL SEPT. 22-26 EXPANDS TO FIVE DAYS, SEVEN STAGES; LARGEST MUSICAL ROSTER YET FEATURING BRANFORD MARSALIS, DAVID SANBORN, BERNARD PURDIE, REUBEN WILSON, KURT ELLING, KEVIN MAHOGANY, AND MORE FREE, ALL-DAY BLOCK PARTY ON THREE OUTDOOR STAGES - Tickets On Sale Friday, June 12 - Now in its 9th year, the Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival – Boston’s most popular and largest outdoor festival – has expanded to five days and seven stages at locations in Boston and Cambridge, and has named world-renowned drummer and Berklee professor Terri Lyne Carrington its new artistic director. From September 22 to 26, superstars and local artists will come together in free and ticketed offerings that have drawn upwards of 70,000 people of all ages from every neighborhood in Boston and all over New England. The festival's largest roster yet will feature performances by 20 bands and over 130 musicians at the Berklee Performance Center (BPC), Scullers Jazz Club, Berklee's Cafe 939 and David Friend Recital Hall, and outdoor stages along Columbus Avenue.
